There are many physical activities available in the Ottawa area which can help you improve mobility and build stamina and strength.  We recommend:
Tai Chi
Some members recommend Tai Chi.  There are three locations in the Ottawa area, which are non-profit.  They offer beginner's classes as well as a Health Recovery Class (for Special Health Needs).  For further information:

Aquafitness

Nepean Sportsplex Fibromyalgia Aquafitness program takes place three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) at 10:15 a.m. at the Nepean Sportsplex Aquatic Centre, New programs start in July, and you must register with the City of Ottawa. 1701 Woodroffe Avenue, in their warm 25m pool which is kept above 85°F. The last 15 minutes of relaxation exercises take place in the swirl pool which is kept at 92°F.  For details call 613-580-2828 or go to website.

Dovercourt FM Aqua class operates once a week, on Wednesdays, at 12:00 noon at the Dovercourt Recreation Association, 411 Dovercourt Avenue in an 86°F pool. The exercises end in the whirlpool.

Yoga
We used to operate a FM Yoga Program through the City of Ottawa Recreation Department, but unfortunately the program was cancelled due to low enrolment. 

However, many members do Yoga classes at other locations.  We recommend you find a class where the instructor offers modifications, and remember it is important to pace yourself.
